Bangkok's longest running monthly house and techno event is back at GLOW with our April edition, this month with Ziv Avriel from defuserecords in Holland.
Originally from Israel, Ziv has been DJ’ing since the early 90’s and moved to Amsterdam in 1996 to explore the European music scene. Once there, he soon discovered the sound of techno from DJ's like Sven Väth and Jeff Mills, and began shaping his own sound before unleashing himself onto the Amsterdam DJ circuit.
In 1999 Ziv started making music with local producer DJ Diablo and their music was released on dutch label Defuse Records. From there he got a weekly residency at the famous Mazzo Club, where he played alongside names like DJ Rush, Misjah, Valentino Kanziyani, Shinedoe, Steve Rachmad, Joel Mull and Damon Wild.
Ziv's abilities have since brought him to play in such diverse locations as South Africa, Slovenia, Ibiza and Canada. By now he was also working in the famous Groove Connection record shop, voted as the best record shop in Amsterdam, where he later became a partner.
Supporting Ziv on the night will be our resident selector The Outsider, making sure the floor is on fire with his trademark sound of dub infused house and techno before handing the controls over.
