Located 150 km north east to Bangkok, Lopburi celebrates every year on the last Saturday and Sunday of November the Monkey Buffet Festival, a fruit banquet for monkeys. The feeding fiesta take place in San Phra Kan and in Phra Prang Sam Yot temples for more than 3000 Long-tail macaque monkeys who live in the area. According to the local faith, feeding the monkeys brings good luck. On the long tables covered with red tablecloths is placed a great variety of fresh fruits.
