When is the best time to visit Bangkok ?
The best time to visit Bangkok is definitely between the beginning of November and the end of March. A cool dry period, characterized by a constant sunny weather, the average temperatures are between +22° C and +30° C and the humidity is lowest. The Peak Season in the whole Thailand runs from mid-December to early February, a period beginning in correspondence with the Western holidays for Christmas and New Year, and continues up to the celebration of Chinese New Year, late January early February depending on the year. Songkran, also known as the traditional Thai New year or Thailand Water Festival, is 13th April every year, but the holiday period includes also 14th and 15th April. The event attracts hordes of visitors to the capital for three days of funny games, all Thais and foreigners in the streets without distinction are sprayed with water thrown by buckets or water guns. The low season in Thailand runs from mid-April to October, a hot and wet period influenced by the southwest monsoon during which rainfall are more frequent and intense.
