Just a little south of Khao Takiab lies Suan Son beach, meaning Sea Pine Gardens in Thai. The beach name derives from the many tropical sea pines lining the shore. The beach is owned by the Thai Army, but it is also open to the public. Suan Son is long and quiet beach. Along the beach there are a number of restaurants, small food stalls and some accommodations. The entrance is through the military, to enter it enough to tell to the guard at the gate that you're going to the beach or the golf course, and pay 20 THB for admission. There is a newly-opened golf course at the Suan Son Army Camp, so this beach is ideal for families where some want to golf and some want to use the beach. Suan Son Beach can get very crowded on weekends.Read More
