Cartoon Network Amazone Water Park in Pattaya is the world's first cartoon themed water park and one of Thailand’s largest water parks. Opened since October 2014, the amusement water park is located on Sukhumvit Road approximately 15 km south from the center of Pattaya city in Na Jomtien sub-district, Sattahip District. The park was built by recreating the atmosphere of the Amazon rainforest with several attractions and activities such as water slides, artificial sea, rafting, flowriding and live shows, all featuring Cartoon Network's famous characters including Johnny Bravo, Ben 10, Courage the Cowardly Dog, the Powerpuff Girls, Adventure Time's Finn and Jake. The park is clean and well maintained, several friendly lifeguards are on duty around the slides and pools, committed to your enjoyment and security. All staff is trained to provide immediate first-aid. The amusement waterpark is divided into 6 zones. There are 3 zones with water slides including Omniverse Zone, Adventure Zone and Cartoonival Zone, added up to 18 different slides. The other 3 zones without water slides are Mega Wave, Riptide Rapids and Surf Arena. The Adventure zone houses three easy and fun slides named Jake Jump, Rainfall Rainicorn and Banana Spin, while the Omniverse zone houses six of the fastest and steepest water tube rides and coasters in the world, including the Omnitrix, a ride with a length of over 350 meters. The ride starts as four players riding a raft through a long twisted tube into a 23-meter tall sphere, featuring digital projection and surround sound. Cartoonival is a fun place for children of 3 years and up, with nine water slides, fountains and huge water buckets from which dropping thousands of litres of water. Riptide Rapids consists of a relaxing rafting descent along a 335-meter river through the Omniverse zone and the Adventure zone surrounded by flowers and palm trees. Mega Wave is a large wave pool where guests can enjoy riding on gentle waves or sunbathing on rows of deckchairs nearby. Surf Arena is a dual-lane surf simulator, the first lane is for body boarding which is suitable for beginners, the other one is for flow boarding which requires more advanced skills. In the park there is a good selection of Thai, Western and Chinese restaurants offering a wide selection of food choices including fish and chips, sandwiches, burgers, BBQ chicken, salads, pizza, Thai curries and Som Tam spicy salad. Also available are various ice cream parlors and coffee bars where visitors can enjoy ice creams, coffee, frozen shakes, soft drinks and snacks.
Admission fee & Opening hours: The park opens daily from 10.00 until 18.00. Entrance fees at ticket counters are: Adults 1,590 Baht, Child 3-12 years 1,290 Baht, Child under 3 years free entry.
Getting there: Amazone Water Park is located on Sukhumvit Road about 15 km south of Pattaya city. The park offers a shared shuttle van service from anywhere in Pattaya between Naklua and Jomtien. There are three daily departures from Naklua at 9.00, 11.00 and 13.00. It must be booked 2 days in advance and costs 400 Baht per person per round-trip transfer, only 200 Baht for booking online. Alternatively, the other way to get there is to rent a taxi or a local songthaew, for roughly 400 Baht from Jomtien, 600 Baht from Pattaya city, and 700 Baht from Naklua.
