Jungle Tour to Tiger Temple, Hot Springs & Emerald Pool

Enjoy a trekking tour through the jungle in the beautiful Ao Luk Thanu mountain range near Krabi and be amazed by the extraordinary scenery of limestone rock formations, caves and waterfalls. On this full-day tour, you'll visit the three main attractions in the Krabi Province: Krabi Hot Springs, the Emerald Pool and Tiger Cave Temple. Enjoy a natural jacuzzi at Krabi Hot Springs, and feel the healthy benefits of the hot thermal waters rising from deep underground volcanic chambers. Take a dip in the pristine waters of the Emerald Pool and be refreshed from the tropical heat of Krabi. Explore the Krabi's most famous Buddhist Temple; see the tiger paw prints inside a limestone cave and then climb the 1.237 steps leading to the top of the hill where you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic 360 degree views.
Known by locals as Wat Tham Sua, the Tiger Cave Temple is one of the most sacred Buddhist sites in the province. Located about 3 km northeast from Krabi Town, the temple is well known for the tiger paw prints in the cave, tall Buddha statues, the strenuous flight of stairs to reach the summit, and its spectacular setting in the Ao Luk Thanu mountain range that provides the necessary quiet atmosphere for meditation. The temple has one stairway with 1,237 steps leading to the summit. The top of the stairs is 278 meters elevation. Elsewhere on the compound, 184 steps lead to the foothills area where monks live in the caves. Some 250 monks and nuns live in the temple compounds at the moment. The main vihara is inside a small shallow limestone cave, where the walls are lined by cells.
Also known as Emerald Pool, Emerald Pond, Crystal Pool or Crystal Lagoon, Sra Morakot is a natural freshwater pool in the Thung Teao Forest National Park. Located in the Khao Pra-Bang Kram area, about 55 km from Krabi Town and 75 km from Ao Nang, the 120-square-meter pond owes its name to its limpid green emerald waters, which take on this color thanks to an abundance of minerals from the surroundings limestone hills. Here you can go for a swim to escape the heat of the day and admire the stream, one of the sources of the pool, which tumbles in at one end over rock made smooth by mineral deposits.
Situated in the same reserve as Thung Teao Forest Natural Park and quite near to the Emerald Pool, there are the Klong Thom Hot Springs, another Krabi's natural wonder that you will see on this tour. Out in the tropical rainforest about 70 km south of Krabi Town, the Namtok Ron Khlong Thom is just a small waterfall tumbling gently but a few meters, yet it is unique in that the spring water that feeds it bubbles up from the earth at temperature of more than 50 degrees Celsius. It cools a bit as it flows to the cascade and you can swim in the calm stream below for a much cooler bath. Hot spring water is rich in mineral salts and have been said to promote recovery from surgeries and controls rheumatism, neuralgia, hypertension and skin diseases. It can also release stress and tension from the body.
