BTS Saphan Khwai

Saphan Khwai BTS Station is a skytrain station on the Bangkok’s Sukhumvit Line, also known as the Light Green Line. The station is located on Phahon Yothin Road close to Saphan Khwai intersection, in the Phaya Thai District. Phaya Thai is just south of neighbourhood Mo Chit and it is a dense trade area with many shops, fresh markets and facilities, including the Saphan Khwai market, Paolo Memorial Hospital and Big C Supercenter, as well as few tourist attractions, like Philatelic Museum, a great collection of Thai stamps dating back to the 19th century, and the Poon Tao Gong Shrine, where occasionally you can see Chinese Opera performances. Next to Saphan Khwai BTS Station there is also a popular local nightlife zone. Located on Sutthisan Winitchai Road, near Pahon Yothin Soi 16, the area becomes lively after dark with several beer bars, karaoke lounges and go-go bars.
