Bangkok Airways Lanna Half Marathon 2021

A city that keeps visitors coming back time after time...Chiang Mai. What is so good about it that always attracts people from everywhere? Probably because Chiang Mai is a perfect combination of modernity and traditional arts and culture. This upcoming Lanna Half Marathon will, however, take you to discover other aspects of this charming city at only 4-5 kilometers from the center, where you can enjoy beautiful scenery in the woods that car drives can never offer. The route of Lanna Half Marathon is carefully designed to affect the local’s everyday living as little as possible by setting the starting line at Chiang Mai International Convention and Exhibition Center. Participants will run along Liap Khlong Prapa Road towards Huay Teung Thao Reservoir and make a detour there, which will offer visitors a one-of-a-kind experience, typical of this route, with rare views of the reservoir. The 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km courses will let participants run on flat ground only. For those who wish to enjoy the views of Huay Teung Thao Reservoir, it would rather be recommended to choose a half marathon course than a mini marathon as the latter will take runners to the entrance of the reservoir only to make a U-turn. In Chiang Mai are regularly held many running events, with Lanna Half Marathon among them. With journey in nature and the typically welcoming atmosphere of Chiang Mai combined, our event comes at its best to offer an unforgettable running experience to all participants. Also, we aim to push the running event to meet international standards and make it one of the best known.
Bangkok Airways Lanna Half Marathon 2021 will runs in 3 different categories which were Fun Run of 5 kilometers, Mini Marathon of 10 kilometers and Half Marathon of 21 kilometers.

Requirements for registration 1. Participants, male and female, must be at least 13 years old. Children under 13 can participate in the event only if accompanied by an adult. 2. The event is open to participants of all nationalities.
Cut off time: ◦ 21 km (Race duration: 4 hrs — 04:00 – 08:00) ◦ 10 km (Race duration: 2 hrs — 05:00 – 07:00) ◦ 5 km (Race duration: 1 hr — 05:15 – 06:15) 1. Gun time will be considered as the official time of the race. 2. All participants are asked to please strictly respect the cut off time to allow the traffic to flow again. 3. Timing chips will be used for the 10 km and 21 km races. 4. No timing chips will be used for the 5 km race.
Trophies Trophies for male and female categories (no nationality categories) 21 km / 10 km trophies for each age category, subdivided into male and female (3 trophies for males, 3 trophies for females) 18 and under, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 and over 5 km overall (5 trophies for males, 5 trophies for females)
