This island is made up of diverse cultures — both from within Samui and from overseas visitors — which interestingly blend with each other. The route of Samui Half Marathon is designed with paths on flat ground, looking to take runners through various aspects of Samui, from familiar beaches to fisherman’s village. Running along the shores will let participants experience the kind of atmosphere known only to native residents of the island, and non-natives who have found their home there long ago and live harmoniously with the local since then. No matter you are a serious runner or one who prefers to while away, you will be able to enjoy the activity freely as the roads used in all the courses will be closed temporarily for the event. Once in Samui, runners can do more than appreciate its beauty along the route that is going to show you around half of the island. Apart from beaches, sea, and diving spots, you can also enjoy a motorbike ride to explore the city and maybe stop to have a chat with locals — they might be able to give you some insight on where to find local budget restaurants in this expensive city or on hidden gems. The little island of Samui, where Eastern culture meets Western, has a lot more for you to discover. There are 3 different courses available for Samui Half Marathon to choose from: 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km. Being able to find a nice match for each one in the family will allow you all to enjoy the experience together. ► There are 3 different courses available for Samui Half Marathon to choose from: 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km.
