Wong Amat Beach is certainly the most beautiful and peaceful among the Pattaya's beaches. It is located on the promontory before the Naklua Bay at north of the city centre, about one km after the roundabout at the end of the 2nd Road. The area is easily identifiable thanks to the tall white towers of the many buildings that characterize the headland, the highest in the central and north Pattaya areas. Many of these buildings are condominiums for tourists, while others are hotels like the Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort, Loma Resort, Long Beach Garden Hotel, Garden Cliff Resort & Spa, Wong Amat Garden Beach Resort and the Aisawan Resort & Spa. The beach is made in coarse sand, but cleaner and better preserved than that of Pattaya or Jomtien Beach, with several shaded areas thanks to many tropical plants lining the shore. Water is always clear, you can also see small fish, there are no Jet Ski or speedboats to disturb the peace. Chairs and umbrellas can be hired at bars and restaurants overlooking the beach, where you can enjoy Thai dishes, seafoods and western food.
