Opened since 1993, Banana Disco is the oldest and one of the most popular nightclubs in Beach. Featuring an outdoor bar area and an air-conditioned disco, the entertainment venue is situated right in the middle of Patong's beachfront street, a few steps from the famous Bangla Road. Set directly in front of the disco, the outside area features a live band until around 23:00, making it the ideal spot to enjoy a drink before the indoor area will turn into your next level of night party. The upstairs nightclub is chic and sophisticated with elegant décor in pastel tones. The music played there by DJs include standard Top 40 tunes, Hip-Hop, Dance/Electronic, Pop and some old favourites depending on the crowd. The bar area, which sells creative home drinks and a wide choice of classic cocktails, is on the first floor. Despite Banana being very crowded with a mix of Thais and visitors, diligent staff and the efficient security members ensure that no trouble arises.
